It is 4:31 am.
With only about a hour and half of sleep under my belt I am exhausted.
This is not a case of children up all night.
Not even a case of Big Daddy's snores.
Financial worries? Nope.
Overanalyzing petty drama in my head? Not even.
This is the case of a sensory overload experienced within the last 48 hours on the television and Facebook post "The Canadian Psycho".
I will not go into details but this case involves necrophilia, decapitation, cannibalism and gruesome mail packages.
Enough said.
This Canadian case was even on the American CNN, HLN AND FOX news.
Whoa.
This crime is so horrific, one feels dirty just thinking about it.
Yet.
We can't look away.
Just like we couldn't look away from Casey Anthony, Zimmerman and Josh Powell.
These crimes are no less horrific than the cases of O.J. Simpson , Susan Smith, Karla & Paul Bernardo and Geoffrey Domer to name a few.
The Main Difference?
24/7 news tickers, Social media and networks.
You can turn the tv off.
Stay away from CNN.
But as soon as you Login to Facebook you can be sure to expect your News Feed to be bombarded with "Shares" and "Likes" to stop this criminal from getting this or that or better yet...Horrific Links.
Brutal Links.
And because you can't look away, after all you even turned the tv off, BAM!It's all here!
You click.
And all you wanted to do was post cute pictures, vent in public or make someone laugh.
But here is the scary part that got me really thinking.
It was reported that over 300,000 hits crashed the website that aired the Canadian Psycho's video. (Yep...There is an actual video).
Fan pages on MySpace and Facebook.
Of those 300,000...
Are there any more Psychos?
Cause That's alot of Crazy out there.
Sorry Crazies...No more views.
30 days, no clicks.
30 days, no shares.
30 days, no updates.
30 days, no Insomnia.
Here's hoping.
Namaste xox
