Mystery chocolate.

Who can forget Forrest Gump's famous saying "Life is like a box of chocolates...Ya never know what'cha gonna get"?

He was a simple man really, but perhaps a man whose words were dead on.
Because you see...Ya never know what'cha gonna get.
A co-worker asked me recently "Why this career choice when your extensive experience is in Autism?"
He doesn't get it.
How someone with 8 years in Autism would change fields and career path, just like that.
It wasn't just like that.
See a box of chocolates was left on my path about 5 and half years ago.
And after what seemed to be sinking my teeth in orange, lemon or raisin chocolates, it was time to move away from the deceiving box.

From the marshmallow-fluff of entering twin mama land and thinking I could ease myself back into my career, to the survival-dream-team that is chocolate coffee when I did try to go back but lucked out on daycares and of course the dark magic that it's getting somewhat easier to accept life's twisted sense of humor...This mama never knew what she was gonna get.
Some bites were sweet.
Others were bitter.
Some were comforting.
Some were revolting.
Many were the Best I ever had.
Although some The worst.

As I am opening a brand new box of chocolates I still don't know what I am gonna get.
More surprises?
Probably.
That said...
It is a box of chocolates and although chances are I will sink my teeth in a couple of kick-in-ass-cognac kind..I will also be lucky to taste a smooth, velvety truffle.
